Jeremy Goad was an undergraduate at Gonville and Caius College from 1963 to 1966 and during this time visited the old Caius House youth house on Holman Road regularly.  He recalls a memorable night travelling on foot through the North Downs with boys from the youth club on a night exercise devised by a military friend at Caius College.  Fortunately no-one was lost and the night ended with breakfast at Jeremy’s parents’ house.

After taking a Masters degree in Public Health Engineering Jeremy became a chartered civil engineer and his work took him to live in several Middle Eastern countries, the Far East, South Asia and Southern Africa. He became a Trustee of Caius House in 2006, and Chairman of the Trustees in 2008 Before retiring in 2010 Jeremy spent 5 years seconded as an Export Promoter to the government’s UK Trade & Investment and travelled extensively leading trade missions.
