CAIUS HOUSE RECORDING STUDIO

The new Recording Studio boasts a state of the art 48 track digital set up with highly experienced recording and engineers and qualified youth workers.  Here is a department where young people of different musical abilities, different backgrounds and social class are able to make full use of the professional quality set up to do anything ranging from recording basic vocals or learning how the entire studio set up works.

 

We offer training on a wide range of musical aspects. Some of these include:

 

• Music Production

• Performance

• Sound Engineering

• Music Law

• Marketing and Promotion

• Vocal Training

• Radio Broadcasting and more!

 

Young people have the option to learn everything under the umbrella program called the MMI (Mini Music Industry-Approximately 6 months) or take separate modules.  Some of these modules will be accredited by AQA, which can go towards their achievements, and they will have an opportunity to perform their material at our regular events.

 

We aim to put a big emphasis on live instrumentation and wish to set up a number of ‘Youth Live Bands’ and work on projects with them. In the near future we aim to have musical instrument teachers on board to work with the young people wishing to learn or improve on instruments they choose.

 

Instruments we have at Caius House include:

 

• Keyboards

• Acoustic drums

• Electric guitar

• Bass guitar

• Saxophone

• Trumpet

• Violin.

 

Young people also have the option of just coming to record vocals on a beat they may have got from youtube if they do not wish to engage in the other services offered.
