Job Opportunity: Youth Voice and Engagement Intern
Location: Caius House, 2 Holman Road, London, SW11 3RL
Position Type: Full-time, 1-year fixed-term internship (35 hours/week)
Salary: £25,207 (London Living Wage)
Start Date: On or before 17th March 2025

About the Role
As a Youth Voice and Engagement Intern, you’ll work closely with our CEO, Youth Operations Manager and youth workers to engage young people across Battersea. Your role will focus on ensuring that their voices are heard, their ideas are valued, and their experiences at Caius House are transformative. You’ll also play a vital role in developing and delivering innovative community projects.

This internship is funded by the Jack Petchey Foundation, offering additional opportunities for professional growth through workshops, events, mentorship, and a £1,000 training bursary.

Key Responsibilities
​

Youth Engagement: Gather input, ideas, and feedback from young people to shape programs.

Programme Development: Assist in creating new activities and meaningful experiences.

Community Outreach: Collaborate on strategies to reach more young people and keep them engaged.

Social Media: Manage accounts and create content to promote youth activities.

Research and Reporting: Investigate youth-related trends and prepare insightful reports.

Collaboration: Build relationships with local schools, youth clubs, and organisations.

What We’re Looking For
Essential Skills & Experience:

A passion for youth empowerment and community engagement.

Creativity, enthusiasm, and a proactive approach.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Excellent organizational and time management abilities.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Desirable Skills:

Social media proficiency.

Knowledge of design software.
-
Experience working or volunteering with young people.

Familiarity with local youth issues and the Battersea community.
